There have been big terror strikes in India by the Pakistani based militants in the last few years including the Parliament attack, serial bomb blasts and the latest Mumbai hotel attacks. The key difference is that in the latest attacks the terrorists have made the mistake of killing 18 foreigners including 8 Americans, 2 british people and few Israelis.
This has prompted these nations to pledge their support to all possible actions against the terror camps, by India. This might result in a permanent solution for the world, because as on date, Pakistan based terror camps are the only source of Terror for the world, which is killing Americans and British people every day. Sooner the action for dismantling these camps, it is better for the Americans also.
