There is a funny story I heard which explains a lot about different perspectives, even on something that we take so much for granted.
Long ago, there was a king in England who had never seen or played Football.
For his birthday, somebody organised a football match with the best players from across the country.
The king sat through the match. With every minute of the match, his eyes started filling with tears. The match ended in a draw, one all. The king stood up. He said, with tear filled eyes and tremour in his voice, “My dear fellow contrymen and women, I did not know our country had so much poverty. The poverty is very clearly illustrated by the fact that some 20 odd players were chasing the one solitary ball and they did not even have a ball to play on their own. I promise you that I will eradicate this poverty”.
The spectators and the public were dumbstruck.
It all depends on the perspective.
