The Indian brainstorm led IPL which is being played in South Africa is facing some strage threat. There is a blog, especially about the Kolkatta Night Riders team (KKR as it is called), and one member of the team is blogging and spilling the beans. At least that is what it is being made out to be.
I also went through the blog. It is corresponding to some of the reported incidents. It calls people of the team by different funny and at times not so funny names. It names names and incidents which are typically unspeakable.
But, it reeks of yellow journalism. One, I don’t think it is being written by somebody from the team. At some point in time, you are going to be caught. And, with a money making machine such as IPL, why would you want to face such ignominy? Nobody would do it. Two, it talks about things which a reporter might typically know better about. Three, it is yellow journalism and the language and the style everything points to a pro in action. Very clearly somebody with a vengeance is going and blogging against the KKR team.
It is such a shame. We want cricket and fun. Definitely not yellow journalism.
