Obama has completed his first 100 days as the president of the supposedly most powerful country in the world, the US. Apart from Abraham Lincoln and probably Eisenhowar, I am not sure whether any other president would have got into the post at a more tumultuous time in the history of the nation.
But, to his credit, he has stood firm in his beliefs. He has stood firm by his ‘magic budget’ whether it is going to deliver or not. He has reopened relations with neighbours who were untouchables till a few years back. He has started talking tough and also walking the talk with the industrial and commercial bodies.
I don’t want to be in his shoes right now. I wish him all the best.
