The long cherished dream of Roger Federer to gain his 15th Grand Slam Title, to go past the legendary player Pete Samparas, became reality on 5/7/2009, when he won the Wimbledon Title in a nail biting match.
The finals happened between 6th seed Andy Roddick and top seed Roger Federer, but it was not a cake walk for Roger Federer, and in fact the match went on for over four and a half hours.
Finally Roger Federer held his nerve, and took the vital service break of Andy Roddick, in the final set, after a matching 24 games each in the final set.
