2000 Indian firms install Windows 7

The newly launched Windows 7 is getting the kind of positive response expected by Microsoft, in India. Over 2000 Indian firms including top companies in Technology sector, Automobile sector and the public sector have purchased huge quantity of the new operating system software by the world’s largest software maker in the last one month.
Microsoft is expecting all the existing Windows 97 and Windows vista users to shift over to Windows 7 over the next 12 to 24 months.
To cut down on piracy, Microsoft has priced Windows 7 aggressively and the lower version costs only 150 dollars. A healthy sale of Windows 7 over the next eight quarters in India and China could help Microsoft easily overcome any shocks from the US and European markets.
