The British Broadcasting Corporation plans to cut about 2000 jobs and then move its office to another place. The world’s largest public broadcaster BBC has planned to move the office and the production outside of London. The main reason behind the BBC plan is actually an effort to bring down the cost after the funding was frozen. The effort may help BBC to save the broadcaster about $1.04 billion annually by the coming years 2016 to 2017.
On Thursday the BBC had given the report after an investigation to take up the cost cutting measures for coming years. BBC even plans to scale back the non-news television and the radio programs and will bring down the cost. BBC ideas will help to reduce the spending on the content for the network of Asia radio broadcasts in Britain. However according the report BBC plans to bring down the content of Asian network radio broadcast by about one third. The cost cut have being made to make the usage of resources effectively and collaboratively by BBC and bring in changes.
Since the year 2008 BBC has been undergone coast cutting more than 1 billion as the UK government had ordered last year. Last year UK has ordered TV license fees for the citizens to pay the fiance the channels will remain same till 2017.
BBC has been running out of way to make cuts stated Director general Mark Thompson during a report. More operations of BBC will be moving out of London which is now in west London headquarters and shifted to north England.
